Chhujung Khola Hydropower Project is located in Bhotkhola Rural Municipality of Sankhuwasabha district in Province 1 of Nepal. The Chhujung Khola is a tributary of the Arun River and is a snow-fed river. The project area is just outside of the buffer zone of Makalu Barun Conservation Area.
